THE BRIEF

An epic video that would bring out the fantastic chemistry between Karen Gillan and Jack Black and gain as much exposure as possible ahead of the release of Jumanji: The Next Level

OUR SOLUTION

We knew that the chemistry between all the cast in Jumanji: Welcome To The Jungle was electric and so we really wanted to push the limits to get the best reactions of the cast, whilst staying true to the theme of the game of Jumanji. And what better way than a classic game of Pictionary, but with a twist… Jumanji Pictionary.

Our content team got to work on creating a series of hilarious pictionary animals and scenarios for Karen and Jack to draw, with the pair having 4 minutes each to complete the game! From a production point of view, the visual element of the video was the most important part, so the production team played around with the best equipment for the talent to create their works of art.

After working through various flipcharts and other ideas, we decided to just go ahead with a clipboard, pens and a paper. Simplicity really is key sometimes, especially within the strict confines of a press junket.

Once the logistics of the game were sorted, we started working on the animals and scenarios to draw. We gave the talent a selection of the more traditional jungle animals, such as “lions”,”gorillas” etc and then took things up a notch by throwing in scenarios such as “Danny DeVito washing an elephant!”, “The Rock Wrestling a Croc!” and of course, we had to throw in the iconic picture of Dwayne Johnson with his turtleneck, chain and black bum bag.
